Early access terms.

BARSONIC provides coaching feedback on rap performances. A report may cover flow, pocket and timing, rhyme, delivery, writing and songcraft.

This is an early-access version. Current coaching includes human expert input while the automated coaching system is being developed — nothing here claims that fully automated audio analysis already exists in the product today.

You must be at least 18 years old to submit material to Barsonic during early access.

You retain your rights in everything you submit. Submitting material grants us only the limited permission necessary to store, access and process it in order to provide and operate the coaching service you requested. Submitting does not transfer ownership.

If you actively select the optional development consent, you additionally permit us to privately use your submitted audio, lyrics, derived performance measurements and coaching labels to develop, evaluate and improve Barsonic’s future coaching system. This never gives us ownership of your recording, and never permits us to publicly release, distribute, sell or license it as music. You can withdraw this optional consent for future use at any time, subject to processing already completed and to material that has already been genuinely and irreversibly de-identified or aggregated.

• You own the material you submit, or you have the necessary permission from whoever does — including for any beat, instrumental or sample you include.
• Our authorised processing of what you submit, as described in these terms and the Privacy Policy, won’t infringe anyone else’s rights.
• You won’t knowingly upload material that’s unlawful, malicious, or that you don’t have the right to provide.

You agree not to intentionally:

• interfere with or disrupt the service;
• attempt to bypass access or security controls;
• upload malicious files or content;
• use the service through abusive automated means; or
• probe, scan or deliberately overload our systems.

We may reject or remove a submission, or restrict access, where reasonably necessary to enforce this.

A report is one coach’s informed opinion about a performance. It is not a guarantee of any commercial, artistic or career outcome, and it is not a substitute for your own judgement about your own work.

We coach the intention you tell us about. Where a choice is deliberate and musical, we aim to say so rather than flatten it toward some arbitrary definition of correct rap.

This version is experimental and, right now, free. It’s provided as is, without warranties. We don’t promise a turnaround time, uninterrupted availability, or that any particular feature will keep existing as the product develops.

We may need to change, suspend or stop parts of the service. Where we reasonably can, we’ll give notice. Keep your own copies of anything you upload. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You can stop using Barsonic at any time. Email help@barsonic.com to request deletion of your material, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may remove a submission, or suspend or discontinue early access, where reasonably necessary.

We may update these terms as the product develops. We’ll publish the current version and its effective date here. Where applicable law requires additional consent before materially expanding how we use material you’ve already submitted, we won’t rely on a terms update alone to do that.

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

Nothing in this clause is intended to exclude mandatory rights or protections that apply to you under the laws of your own jurisdiction and cannot lawfully be excluded.
